Export from your top-level assembly to capture all parts in your design, including quantities from sub-assemblies.

CSV Format

The Onshape BOM export includes columns that FRCTools Orders automatically recognizes:

Onshape ColumnUsed For
Part NumberSKU matching with connected vendors
QuantityNumber of units to order
DescriptionAdditional context for the part
Exporting from Onshape is not required- any CSV with these columns can be used to import orders.

Importing Your BOM

  1. Click the Import button in the dashboard
  2. Upload your Onshape CSV export
  3. FRCTools Orders will automatically search for matching products from your connected vendors
  4. Review and adjust the matches:
    • Products with matching SKUs are auto-selected
    • Manually search and select products for unmatched rows
    • Choose the correct variant if multiple exist
    • Adjust quantities as needed
    • Remove rows you don't want to import
  5. Click Import to create all orders at once
FRCTools Orders automatically combines duplicate rows in your CSV—if the same part number and description appear multiple times, their quantities are summed together.
