Organizations

Organizations in FRCTools Orders allow teams to collaborate on order management together.

What is an Organization?

An organization represents your FRC team or any group that needs to collaborate on orders. Key features:

• Shared orders - All organization members can view and manage orders
• Team management - Invite and manage team members
• Role-based access - Control what members can do

Creating an Organization

When you first sign up for FRCTools Orders, you'll be prompted to create an organization:

1. Click Create Organization
2. Enter your organization name (e.g., "FRC Team 1234")
3. Click Create

Member Roles

Organizations have three roles:

Inviting Members

To add team members to your organization:

1. Navigate to the Organization page
2. Scroll to Invite a Member
3. Enter the member's email address
4. Select their role
5. Click Send invitation

The invited member will receive an email with a link to accept the invitation.

Accepting Invitations

When you receive an organization invitation:

1. Click the link in the invitation email
2. Sign in or create an account if needed
3. You'll automatically be added to the organization

Managing Members

Organization owners and admins can manage members:

Changing Roles

1. Go to the Organization page
2. Find the member in the members list
3. Click the role dropdown
4. Select the new role

Removing Members

1. Go to the Organization page
2. Find the member you want to remove
3. Click the Remove button
4. Confirm the removal

Switching Organizations

If you're a member of multiple organizations:

1. Click on the organization selector in the header
2. Select the organization you want to switch to
3. The app will update to show that organization's orders
