Quick Start

This guide will help you get started with FRCTools Orders in just a few minutes.

Step 1: Create an Account

Navigate to orders.frctools.com and create a new account:

  1. Enter your name
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Create a password
  4. Click Sign Up
Your email will be used for account recovery and organization invitations.

Step 2: Create Your Organization

After signing up, you'll be prompted to create your first organization:

  1. Click Create Organization
  2. Enter your team name (e.g., "FRC Team 1234")
  3. Click Create
Use your FRC team number in the organization name to make it easy for team members to identify.

Step 3: Invite Team Members

Once your organization is created, invite team members:

  1. Go to the Organization page
  2. Click Invite Member
  3. Enter the email address of the team member
  4. Select their role (Admin or Member)
  5. Click Send Invitation

The invited member will receive an email with a link to join your organization.

Step 4: Create Your First Order

Now you're ready to start tracking orders:

  1. Click the Add Order button
  2. Fill in the order details:
    • Part Name - The name of the part you need
    • Description - Optional notes about the part
    • Quantity - How many you need
    • Tags - Optional categorization
  3. Click Create
Many popular FRC vendors have automatic information fetching! When you enter a vendor URL, FRCTools Orders will try to fill in details like part name and price for you.

Your order will be created with a "To Order" status.

Step 5: Track Order Progress

As your order progresses, update its status:

  • To Order - Part needs to be ordered
  • Ordered - Part has been ordered, waiting for arrival
  • Arrived - Part has arrived and is available

Simply drag orders between columns to change their status.
